In an emergency you can contact the Police, Ambulance or Fire Brigade by calling 999 from any phone within the UK. Public call boxes do not charge for this call. All UK mobile phones also are free but connection will depend on a signal being locally available. In an emergency remain calm and try to answer as many details as the emergency operator requests; these will assist the emergency services in prioritising your call and with the allocation of the appropriate response to your call. Please note heavy penalties can be result from hoax 999 calls.

To report a crime after it has occurred call the Surrey Police non-urgent line on 0845 125 2222.
