Dorking offers a large number of individual retailers and businesses; a friendly business community of independent and multiple businesses which works closely together. Over the years Dorking has seen an increase of larger companies whose offices are tastefully incorporated into the atmosphere of the market town. The convenient location of Dorking with easy access to airports and motorways, but with the advantage of beautiful surrounding countryside, has encouraged many companies to relocate their premises to the heart of Surrey.

Businesses are strongly supported by the Dorking and District Chamber of Trade and Commerce. The Chamber represents its members views in working groups covering many angles from planning, tourism, events and safety, to name but a few. A quarterly newsletter covering independently researched local issues is distributed to all businesses. The Chamber of Commerce also offers a very active social calendar which gives everybody the chance to get to know each other better and make connections which are so important in today's business world.
