RHS Wisley
Wisley Gardens is about 35 minutes drive from Dorking. It lies close to the junction 10 of the M25, where it intersects with the A3. It is home to the Royal Horticultural Society and one of the most famous gardens in Britain. Wisley is really a series of gardens designed to show off a huge variety of plants. There are model gardens to demonstrate ideas for small suburban gardens, a woodland garden, glasshouses, herb garden, spectacular rose and herbaceous borders and much more. Special events, walks and demonstrations are held throughout the year.
There are facilities for disabled people, a good restaurant and a plant and book/gift shop.
The gardens are open at 10 am (9 am at weekends) to 6 pm daily. Sundays from March to October are reserved for RHS members only. Closes at 4.30 pm from November to February one hour before closing. Admission is £5 for adults and £2 for children.
